Emergency Tree Work
Overview

What to expect

When a tree comes down in a storm, you need someone there fast, not next week. A fallen tree blocking your drive, a heavy branch hanging over your roof, a wind-damaged tree leaning towards your neighbour's house. These situations can't wait. Call Antony directly on 07745 817067 and we'll get to you as quickly as possible, usually the same day. We'll make the site safe so you can get on with your life.

Storm-damaged trees are unpredictable. Branches can be partially detached and under tension, root plates can be lifting, and the tree might look stable but be compromised in ways that aren't obvious. Our team are trained in aerial rescue and emergency tree work (City & Guilds NPTC). We assess the situation when we arrive and work out the safest way to deal with it. Sometimes that means removing the immediate danger and coming back to finish the rest. Sometimes we can complete the whole job in one visit.

We help homeowners, landlords, schools, and property managers when emergencies happen. If a tree is blocking a public road, we can arrange traffic management and liaise with the highways authority. We carry £5m insurance that covers emergency callouts. Once the immediate danger is dealt with, we'll advise on follow-up work: stump grinding, checking other trees that might have been weakened, or replacement planting. We also handle the paperwork if your insurer needs a report or quote for storm damage.

Our Process

How It Works

1

Call Antony

Ring us on 07745 817067. Tell us what's happened, whether anyone is in danger, and whether access is blocked. If you can, send us a few photos so we can gauge the scale before we arrive.

2

We get there fast

For genuine emergencies we aim to be with you the same day, often within a few hours. If people or property are in immediate danger, we prioritise accordingly.

3

We assess the situation

Storm-damaged trees are unpredictable, so we check everything carefully before we start cutting. We work out the safest approach and set up safe working zones.

4

We make it safe

The immediate danger comes first: removing hanging branches, clearing fallen trees from driveways and roofs, and stabilising anything that's still a risk. The priority is getting you and your neighbours safe.

5

Full removal or follow-up

Depending on the damage, we either finish the whole job in one visit or come back to complete the work when conditions allow. Either way, you get a clear quote before any additional work starts.

6

We help with the insurance

Need to claim? We'll provide photographs, a written report, and a detailed quote for your insurer. We deal with insurance companies regularly and know exactly what they need.

FAQ

Emergency Tree Work: Common Questions

How quickly can you get here?

For genuine emergencies (a tree on a house, blocking a road, or putting people in danger) we aim to be with you the same day, often within a few hours. For situations that aren't immediately dangerous, we can usually attend within 24 to 48 hours.

Who is responsible for a fallen tree?

Usually the owner of the land the tree stands on, even if it falls onto a neighbour's property or a road. Your buildings insurance will normally cover storm damage including tree removal. We can provide the documentation your insurer needs. If the tree was on council land, the local authority is typically responsible.

A tree has fallen across my driveway. Can you clear it?

Yes, it's one of the most common calls we get. We'll cut and clear the tree to restore your access as quickly as possible. Everything is removed from site, and we can deal with the stump afterwards if you want.

Do I have to pay upfront?

No. We'll give you a verbal estimate before we start so you know what to expect, and we invoice after the job is done. For insurance claims, we provide a written quote and all the documentation your insurer needs. No payment in advance.
